People like having minipets and if theyre keeping one then just aswell dedicate it. It makesa nice little monument to keep aswell. The prices can alter but most minipets are super cheap these days anyway it doesn't make much difference. It's not like the pets are being made expensive since the introduction of HoM. Dedicated pets allow you to buy them cheaper off others whilst an undedicated one will follow price trends normally,

Good Job to open this Thread long ago here, Todeshand.
We both know, in other Forums will be spammed 'til the Universe blows up.

Also I wonder that a Person posts the same crap as in a german Forum, but here we go.

It might have be mentioned, but I don't have much time.

First of all, it is equal which Pets you put in you Hall, but, for the whole Bonus, you need 26 of this little Fellowship.

Some people could think, the only Sense is to dedicate the Pets in your hall and you can throw it away (even noone would throw an asia pet away. riddicolous, isn't it?).

Dedication has a very special affect which is really important: It makes pets much cheaper.

Thousands of Ectos cheaper, people are in range of some pets which they could never afford before.
New goals to reach, new motivation, longer times they're playing.

The hall was only implemented to give a new motivation to play longer and not to cry about GW2.

Most of pets are giveaways to newcomers. some pets are still rentabel enough to trade with.
both groups are happy. well, they should..but we all know, they aren't..

in my honest opinion, buying a pet to show "i am the richest, i am better than you" is often a fact while some people buy pets but there are few persons, who buy a pet because they like it.

Also I like vizu an kanaxai, both pets got style.
That kind of style, Quentin tarantino represents in reservoir dogs or pulp ficition.
Pandas, IGs Bears or Ghostly could be (or are) more expensive, but in times, i played guild wars, i only bought what i liked (like mini-charr 8as present), mini gelatinous (dont know exact name atm).
No fow, no eternal, no tormented shield, no chaos gloves.

So, buy the Pet you like. buy it dedicated, when you just want the pet because you like it.
If you buy pets or items to pose, please never login again into guild wars.

Which makes the undedicated ones give their owners a sense of entitlement, because they could actually afford the waaaaay more expensive unded minis. Of course, the fact that you can show it off in your HoM makes it that much more expensive, too.

(Of course, some people do actually buy it because they like the mini and want it in their HoM, not just because they want the epeen.)

I've run into casters who happily announce that they've got q9 melee weapons. Nobody's going to see anything beyond the skin, but they feel obliged to buy the most expensive one - for whatever reason - despite the fact that the req probably wouldn't make any difference to them at all since they're casters.

Same thing here, I guess.

A lot of people are missing the whole point of supply and demand. Oni for example, are rare. People like to show off how much money they have or whatever, so of course they're going to be worth more than a whiptail devourer no matter if they're dedicated or not. As far as unded vs. ded oni go, it's like why are r9 weapons so much more expensive than r10? you're likely going to have more than 10 points in that attribute anyway, so whats the point? It's the perceived 'perfection' of it. Nobody will even know if they see your oni running around town, if it's ded or not. But the value is more, because you still have the OPTION of dedicating it. Plus, unded ones are rarer than ded one, making them more valuable. And remember, something is only worth what people will pay for it. So chances are if people are paying 100e more for an unded oni than a ded oni, well that's what its worth then.

Its just Epeen again like everything else in this game.

But yea as long as there are 20 pets there it dont matter which ones they are.
Im going to be laughing my ass off when GW2 comes and I have the same reward as the guys with all the 100's of ecto pets "hahahah".

I am one of those that have stuffed their HoM full of rather expensive mini's.
When we all move on to GWII, no one will be able to tell whether you left behind 1 gold or 100 million gold, so I feel like spending it on nice expensive going-away pressies for my HoM and people I like.
To me it's not about getting benefits in the new game, it's about taking tangible memories with me when I leave.
I think that is why dedicated miniatures are worth a lot less,- many want undedicated or not at all.

Well for me, I dedicated my minis so that I can get them again on GW2. By dedicating the minis, it will decrease their resale value but if the mini are rare kind (Panda, MPB, Oni, etc) it will still sell for alot of gold but not as high as one that isn't dedicated.

But the thread was still open. If the new poster had begun a new thread about a topic that already exists, the new one would be closed. Basically we are supposed to res a thread when we want to talk about it again.

Because I have nothing better to do with my huge supply of white/purple/gold minis. We'll see what happens with the reward in GW2, but speculating on it now and trying to make a decision is futile unless you are willing to wait. I'm still waiting to see whether I can not have to customize Destroyer/Tormented Weapons that my main would never use (i.e. I have a Tormented Monk Staff that I want to put in my Warrior's HoM) to see if they will ever combine all of my character's halls into one. But at least that's an update that's coming soon.

The video is old and is subject to change.

Gaile said "I think" therefore was not sure.

Therefore, it can be anything.

My personal opinion is that it counts bot has what you put in, and how many. But the "whats" are just for specific ones - like the Black Moa Chick, I hope to give a Black Moa Bird pet for GW2.

I am sure having 20 minipets, no mater which mini, will give a benefit that having 1 or 5 won't. But that does not rule out each individual, or a select few, will have their own singular benefit.

As for the price, the only reason is because you cannot put them in the HoM. So those who don't care/have EN, would rather pay for the dedicated. So really, it's only hurting sellers and if they could get those rare minipets in the first place, I doubt they need 100 additional ecto.
